Kaeng Hin Poeng Whitewater Rafting Season 2018 from July to October at Prachinburi Province
Here is another great location for green tourists who are looking for something adventurous. Hin Poeng Rapids of Prachinburi province (135km east of Bangkok) is famous for its powerful white foam water, which is suitable for shooting the rapids. A short traveling distance from Bangkok makes a one-day trip to experience the whitewater rafting possible, and each year from July to October, adventure-lovers flock to raft here.
Hin Poeng Rapids, part of Khao Yai National Park, is situated in Na Di County, Prachinburi province. These huge rocky rapids are at the end of the Sai Yai River. The safe path for rafting covers a 2.5-km distance along the river with lush forest along both banks creating picturesque views. In the rainy season the river rises and powerfully flows through gradients of altogether six rapids (which are Kaeng Hin Poeng, Kaeng Kang Nam Lom, Kaeng Kang Bon, Kaeng Look Sue, Kaeng Kang Sai, and Kaeng Ngu Hao) generating a lot of thrills and spills for rafters. The intensity of water varies from three to five, meaning moderately difficult to extremely difficult.
While on the dinghy, you’ll come across consecutive challenging stretches of whitewater that’ll get your adrenalin flowing as the dinghy fights against the strong current. When the craft collides with huge waves, get ready to feel the splash of refreshing cool water!
There will be performances, OTOP booths, and many competitions between 12 to 16 July, 2018.
